Uncork New York at Cascata Winery
This Winery is the perfect place to uncork New York wines and enjoy art. Founded in 1995 by two retired college professors that believe their winery is the fusion of art and wine in a quaint boutique setting. David and Coralee Burch strive to achieve this by including on each vintage an original work of art on the label. This winery has also been awarded 23 separate medals for its wines throughout its history.
The wine tasting room is situated in a 19th century home that has been restored. Inside, one will find artwork by resident artist Coralee along with a fine selection of wines. Outside not only is there a view of Seneca Lake but also gardens and ancient trees surround the house. Families are always welcome – with a fishpond, playground, and board games for the children to enjoy. Open hours are daily from 10:00am –5:00pm April thru December. From January thru March, however, open hours are in the weekends from Fridays thru Mondays, 10:00am-5:00pm.
This winery has the area’s typical wines to choose from. Seasonal wines include Cranberry Bog Mead and an Elderberry Wine. The other wines are Awakening, Cascade Riesling, Fireside Chardonnay, Hot Mulled Wine, Luna Rossa, Maggie, Odds and Ends, Red Bouquet, Red Velvet, Regatta Red, and Sweet Iris.
When purchasing between 3-5 bottles there is a 5% discount; a 6-11 bottle purchase gets you a 10% discount; and 12 or more bottles will get you a 15% discount. When ordering wine online, encryption software SSL is used to provide security of the customer’s information.
