Red Wine May Increase Life Span
Lovers of wine might already be aware that the resveratrol in red wine contributes to fighting food born illnesses.
Now the latest DNA News is that by sequencing everyone’s genome that custom drugs with no side effects will be created.
The DNA studies that viticulturists have been engaged in regarding the sequencing of the Pinot Noir grape vine have created scientific certainties that centuries of grape growers sort of developed through trial and error, but now with DNA tests are able to be defined quite accurately.

Our resistance to one of the deadliest forms of cancer may be helped by a glass of wine. The rate of esophageal adenocarcinoma in the U.S. has increased 500% over the last thirty years. It’s a subtype of esophageal cancer triggered by acid reflux which causes Barrett’s Esophagus, a transformation of the cells in the esophagus to the type found in the stomach.
The findings are reported in the March issue of the journal Gastroenterology. One study determined just one glass of wine per day reduced the incidence of Barrett’s esophagus by 56%. The study was conducted by pharmaceutical maker Kaiser Permanente.

Researchers in Australia asked nearly 1600 men between the ages of 20 and 80 about their health and behavior, including their consumption of a standard drink of alcohol.
