American Vineyard and Winery
Uncorked New York wines are an American Vineyard tradition. The American Vineyard and Winery is located in the Finger Lake region of New York State next to Cayuga Lake. The creating of their fine wines follows the traditions and heritage of over 5000 years of wine making history.
Joe Gober is the host and owner for over twenty years. He originally picked this spot because of the fertile glacial deposits left by the last ice age that are ideal for cultivating vines. The nearby lake has a positive effect on the surrounding climate that provides milder changes in the temperature to help prevent the fruit from being damaged due to erratic weather patterns.
This vineyard and winery also has its own restaurant. The Crystal Lake Café that is open Thursdays through Sunday from noon till 8pm. There is also a brunch served from 11 am till 3 pm on Sundays.
Located on the vineyard is an 1820’ circa swing beam barn that was moved here to serve as the tasting room. It took three years of painstaking renovation to restore this historic barn which guests can now enjoy while tasting all the fine wines of the American Vineyard.
The hours of operation are year round on Mondays thru Saturday from 10 am till 6 pm and on Sunday from noon till 6pm. Wines available for tasting and purchase are the Finger Lakes Chablis, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Baco Noir, Revolutionary Red, Cayuga White, Apparition, American Blush, American White, Indian Summer, November Harvest, Crystal Lake, Sweet Rosie and Barn Raisin’ Red.
To order wine online 24/7 is available by emailing the winery. Uncorked New York American Vineyard wines are truly a fine tradition at this winery.
